Highlands Ranch Remodeling Contractor

Brimie Contractors is a Colorado owned general contractor based in Highlands Ranch. We remodel kitchens and bathrooms, finish basements, build decks and handle inspection repairs for homes across the Highlands Ranch community, with one point of contact from the first walkthrough to the final punch list.

Every estimate is written and itemized, so you can see what each part of the job costs before you decide. If something will need a permit, a licensed trade or HOA approval, the estimate says so up front.

Tub-to-shower conversion. A dated tile tub surround taken down to the studs and rebuilt as a walk-in shower with porcelain slab walls. The part you never see afterward is the part that matters most: cement board, a full waterproofing membrane and a properly sloped pan, all before the first slab goes up.

Permits and HOA approval in Highlands Ranch

Highlands Ranch is unincorporated Douglas County, so building permits go through the Douglas County Building Division, not a city. Work that changes plumbing, electrical, structure or a deck usually needs one. We pull permits when the job requires them and schedule the inspections.

Exterior changes in Highlands Ranch, like a new deck, paint colors or window changes, typically need approval from the Highlands Ranch Community Association before work starts. We help you put that submittal together so the project isn’t held up waiting on it.

Common questions

Who issues building permits in Highlands Ranch?
Highlands Ranch is unincorporated Douglas County, so building permits come from the Douglas County Building Division, not a city. We pull the permit when the job needs one and schedule the inspections.

Do I need HRCA approval for my project?
Exterior changes like a new deck, paint colors or window changes typically need Highlands Ranch Community Association approval before work starts. Interior work like a kitchen, bathroom or basement generally doesn’t. We check before we start and help put the submittal together.

Do you work on Highlands Ranch townhomes?
Yes. Townhome and sub-association rules can add their own requirements on top of HRCA, so we check those before we schedule the work.

How quickly can I get an estimate?
Call or request an estimate online and we’ll set up a walkthrough. You’ll get a written, itemized estimate quickly, with any permit, licensed trade or HOA approval called out up front.
